BOYS, BE BOYS

Boys, Be Boys is inspired from a music genre that originated in North-Eastern of Thailand (E-SAN) communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of soul, jazz, and rhythm and blues (R&B). It de-emphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music.​

Like much of E-SAN-inspired music, Boys, Be Boys consists of a complex groove with rhythm instruments playing interlocking grooves that create a "hypnotic" and "danceable" feel.

Sud Sanan merged between Clarinet and Thai Khaen style ― a mouth organ of Lao origin whose pipes, which are usually made of bamboo, are connected with a small, hollowed-out hardwood reservoir into which air is blown. Today associated with the Lao people of Laos and Isan of Thailand. An unique music instrument of Thailand and Laos with a unique sound.
